2.INT. CLEAN, UPSCALE MODERN BATHROOM - MORNINGAnnie fixes her hair and puts on some makeup before quietly climbing back into bed with Ted, who's still asleep. She clears her throat to wake him up and pretends to be asleep before greeting him. Ted explains that he doesn't want a relationship, and Annie assures him that she feels the same way, though she hints at wanting more.

12.EXT. THE HUNT CLUB - CHICAGO SUBURB - DAYAnnie pulls into the driveway, admiring how lavish it looks. She gives her keys to the valet, who is unable to get her beat-up car to start.
13.INT. HUNT CLUB - dayLillian introduces Annie to the rest of the bridal party. First is Rita, Lillian's cousin, who complains about her three children to them. Next, she's introduced to Becca, a work friend of Lillian's. Becca and her husband tell them about their honeymoon to Disneyworld.
After that, Annie is introduced to Megan, Dougie's sister. Megan is socially inept, and Annie engages in an awkward and forced conversation with her. Finally, Lillian introduces Annie to Helen. Helen is beautiful and glamorous; the wife of Dougie's boss. Annie is immediately turned off by her, but conceals it with compliments.Notes: In this scene, every character she meets assumes that she has a husband, which shows the discrepancy between her and other women her age. 16.INT. annie's car - nightStory Beat: Break Into TwoAs Annie drives home, she mimics Helen's mannerisms and mocks her. She gets so caught up in it that she doesn't notice her car swerving. Behind her, a police car turns on its lights and signals for her to pull over. She reluctantly does so.
17.EXT. annie's car - nightStory Beat: B StoryAnnie walks toe-to-heel to demonstrate her sobriety to the officer that pulled her over. She banters with the officer, and starts doing the Charleston to try and prove that she isn't intoxicated. The officer believes her, but still writes her a ticket for her brake lights being out.
While he takes down her information, he discovers that they're neighbors. Annie tells him about her bakery, and he realizes he'd been there before, and he compliments her pastries. Annie reveals that her ex-boyfriend left her when her business failed, and the officer expresses his condolences. He decides to forget about the ticket, as long as she promises to fix her brake lights. Annie thanks him, and the officer introduces himself as Rhodes.
18.INT. ANNIE'S APARTMENT - nightAnnie looks at a frame containing the first dollar bill she earned from her bakery, as well as a framed news article about her shop's opening. She goes into the kitchen and makes one elaborate cupcake which she eats alone.
19.ext. TENNIS CLUB - dayStory Beat: Fun and GamesAnnie and Helen sit at a cafe table. Both exchange passive aggressive remarks about who knows Lillian better. Helen introduces her step kids to Annie, and it's clear that the kids hate their stepmom.Notes: Annie believes that since she's known Lillian the longest, she knows her the best, not taking into account that people grow and change. Helen argues this with her, and tries to show her that she knows the current Lillian better than Annie does.

When Lillian goes to the bathroom, Annie talks to the other bridesmaids about her idea to have the bridal shower be Paris-themed, since Lillian's always wanted to go to Paris. 25.INT. 'BELLE EN BLANC' BRIDAL SHOP - CONTINUOUSHelen spots a bridesmaid dress that she loves and suggests it to the group, who all love the dress. Annie notices that the price is $800, but no one else seems to be bothered by it. Annie suggests a cheaper option, which receives little reaction from the party.
Lillian tells the girls that her dress is being designed by a famous French designer, thanks to Helen's help.

26.INT. BELLE EN BLANC - MAIN FITTING AREA - LATEREach of the bridesmaids stand with a different dress on, talking things over with the salon attendant. Helen and the attendant both try to convince the group to go with the $800 dress, but Annie argues against it. Megan and Rita have both begun to sweat and look pained.
Lillian enters in an extravagant bridal gown similar to the one being designed for her. She is interrupted by Megan, as well as Rita and Becca, who all begin feeling sick. Helen speculates that they have food poisoning from the Brazilian food. The bridesmaids rush to the bathroom, leaving Helen with Annie. Annie states that it must be the flu, as she begins to sweat as well.Theme: Explored
27.INT. BATHROOM - CONTINUOUSRita rushes to the bathroom and vomits on the toilet. Megan hoists up her dress and prepares to use the sink as a toilet.
In the salon area, Annie fervently denies having food poisoning, but Helen suggests she should throw up in order to feel better. Back in the bathroom, Becca misses the toilet and vomits on Rita's head. Annie continues to deny being sick, and lies that she is in fact still hungry. Helen brings her a tin of candied almonds, and Annie painfully puts one into her mouth.
Lillian appears and tells Annie and Helen that she's also sick. She runs out of the bridal salon and into the street, trying to get to the nearest bathroom. With no more time, she squats down in the middle of the street in her bridal gown and relieves herself. Helen watches from the side of the road and tells the attendant that the group will buy the dresses she chose.
28.INT. annie's car - dayLillian and Annie drive back together. Annie tries to comfort Lillian, who can't believe she relieved herself in the middle of the street.Notes: Though it was unintentional, Annie has ruined the first of her bridal duties, which only drains her self-confidence even further.
29.INT. TED'S BEDROOM - NIGHTTed and Annie cuddle after sex. Annie invites Ted to Lillian's wedding, but he declines and makes it clear he still doesn't want to be in a relationship. Annie tells Ted about a made-up man to try and make him jealous. Unfazed, Ted suggests that Annie leave.

Helen explains to Lillian that Annie is sitting in the back of the plane because she needed to buy a cheaper ticket and would not accept Helen's financial assistance. Megan takes a seat next to a man, and tries to get him to admit he's an air marshal. Annie sits in the back of the plane, getting more nervous as the plane takes off. Annie rushes over to Lillian in a panic and is told to go back to her seat by the flight attendant. Before she does, Helen gives her some sleeping pills.
Megan continues to bother the man she's sitting next to. Becca and Rita order drinks and talk about marital sex problems. Annie tells Helen that she doesn't think the pills are working, so Helen gives her a glass of scotch.
Later, Lillian and Helen are interrupted by a very intoxicated Annie, who is rude to Helen and the flight attendant. Annie leaves first class but then sneaks back in. Helen offers to give up her seat, but Annie is still forced to leave again. Megan begins sexually harassing the "air marshal". Annie hallucinates a woman on the wing of the plane and announces it to the passengers over the PA. This sends the passengers into a panic, and in the following commotion, the man sitting next to Megan reveals himself to be an air marshal.Theme: Explored
36.INT. WYOMING TERMINAL - DAYAnnie is led off the plane in handcuffs by a police officer and the air marshal. The bridal party follows closely behind.Notes: Annie ruins yet another plan, but this one is much worse. Now her actions are getting in the way of Lillian enjoying her wedding planning.
37.INT. bus - dayOn a bus going back to Chicago, Annie apologizes to Lillian for her behavior and for getting everyone sent back home. Annie promises Lillian that her bridal shower will be better, but Lillian interjects and tells her that she's assigned the planning of the bridal shower to Helen because she thinks the stress of the wedding is too much for Annie. Annie halfheartedly agrees, telling Lillian that she just wants her to be happy.Notes: Annie struggles to submit to Lillian's wish of having Helen do the wedding planning. This is exactly what she didn't want - to be bumped to second place. Rhodes again encourages Annie to bake and reopen a shop. Rhodes admits to being attracted to Annie and thinking about her.
40.INT. DARK APARTMENT - NIGHTAnnie and Rhodes kiss passionately as they enter his house and make their way to his bedroom.
41.INT. RHODES DUPLEX - MORNINGAnnie wakes up in Rhodes' bed to find him dressed and watching her. She apologizes for sleeping over, but Rhodes tells her not to worry and gives her some coffee. He invites her into the kitchen.

When Annie attempts to blame the accident on Helen, he cuts her off and corrects her, saying that she is the one who has caused this to happen by not getting her brake lights fixed. He becomes heated, telling Annie that her problem is she doesn't understand that she can hurt people with her actions. Annie asks for his help, but when he continues to ignore her, she pulls away and begins speeding and driving recklessly in an attempt to get his attention. She bumps the back of his car, and he finally gets out to reprimand her. She asks him for his help again, and he agrees to assist them.

Lillian explains that since Helen took over everything, it's spiraled out of control. She reveals that her dad can no longer afford the wedding, and that it's been hard to deal with without Annie around. Lillian apologizes to Annie, and Annie does the same.
Lillian reveals that she's scared of how her life will change when she's married. Annie reassures her that she's making the right choice by getting married, and that things will change for the better. Lillian and Annie share a look of understanding as she gets into a car with Dougie and drives away. Megan reveals to Annie that she put a loaded gun in Dougie's carry-on luggage as a joke.
Helen approaches Annie. Annie compliments Helen's wedding arrangements, and the two get over their differences. They agree that one day they'll hang out with Lillian together. Helen leaves and nods to Rhodes, who has arrived to pick Annie up. Surprised, Annie greets him.
Rhodes admits that he ate some of Annie's apology cake, and they kiss. Rhodes is summoned over his police scanner and invites Annie to go with him.
